It hope they look into getting the rights to re-release the Pink Panther shorts, the MGM sets were discontinued awhile ago.

Whatever happened to the Misterjaws release? They've been quiet on that one since the original announcement.

Dogfather and Misterjaw are the final two to be released from the titles listed in Kino Lorber's original press announcement last year. They had initially said the titles would all be released in 2016, but they slowed down. Hopefully we'll see the last two released by the end of this year.

TVShowsOnDVD referred to these cartoons as having been shown on the Pink Panther Saturday morning show. Neither these two, Roland & Rattfink, or Dogfather were ever featured on the show (which ran from 1969 to 1979). The first two years, it was the Pink Panther and the Inspector. Then for the thid year (and for a while after) the Ant & Aardvark replaced the Inspector. A few seasons later, the show expanded to a longer time slot and the Inspector returned, joined by the Texas Toads (redubbed Tijuana Toads) and (made-for-TV) Misterjaw. For the final season (when the show moved from NBC to ABC) it was the Pink Panther and Crazylegs Crane (all made-for-TV segments). The rest of the theatrical DePatie-Freleng cartoons weren't on TV until Turner bought MGM/UA and TNT ran the whole bunch on "Pink Panther And Pals" around 1989. As far as I know, that's the first time "the rest of" the library was on television.

At least in the United States.

I'm glad to see these coming out. Looking forward to Misterjaw and Dogfather as well.

Not long ago I saw a single-disc comp of "fan-favorite" Pink Panther cartoons (I don't know how they were selected, and no one asked me my favorites) at Wal-Mart. MGM released it in the last year or two. But they ought to be available comprehensively.

Hi, has anyone purchased the Here Comes the Grump dvd? Since it was released in 2006 I was wondering about the transfer quality of this show. That show aired a year before the Pink Panther Show if I'm not mistaken.

Most likely not HD given that it was over a decade ago, but nice transfers. Each show has bumpers and next week previews. However, the show opening is only on the first show on a disc, and the closing is only on the last.

Got My Hoot Klute Blu Ray last week. I'm enjoying it. The Blu Ray really makes the colors come out. The "extras" were outstanding, and I really enjoyed the commentaries by Jerry Beck and Mark Arnold. I really hope Kino will put out more sixties and seventies "lost" cartoons. Want to see Super President, and other lost, and sometimes "terrible" animated series.
