Since it was done on videotape, there's no reason to do a blu-ray. The current DVD issues are more than enough. DVD (at 720x480 — 530 Television Lines) has higher resolution than NTSC (440x486 — 330 TVL), or S-VHS (530x480 — 420 TVL). Regular VHS, btw, clocks in at 320x480 — 260 TVL. There's no point to a blu-ray of anything shot on videotape, which includes most (maybe all) of the Norman Lear output and WKRP in Cincinnati, among others.All in the Family was videotaped, not filmed. They can do a blu ray release, but it won’t be in HD.
