I screened Hercules in the Haunted World last night. It is a great transfer and the color is fantastic. But as a movie, it sucks. The acting is bad, the story is bad, the dialogue is bad, it isn't terribly entertaining. But the lighting and cinematography are great. Mario Bava was a genius at getting tons of color and mood on a limited budget. If the way a film looks is enough, then this may be worth it to you. I'm glad I watched it, but I doubt I'll be returning to it often. One odd thing though. I couldn't get the English subtitles to work with the Italian soundtrack. I had to watch it with the English dub.
