I have managed to blow the voice coil on my D-BOX Sub 600. I pulled the subwoofer out of the box and found a rather ordinary Audax 12" 4ohm driver.

Contacted D-Box (made in Canada) and they can sell me a replacement driver with shipping for about $120 USD. I think I can do better for less money - this is where I need your help.

I already have catalogs for Parts Express and MCM Electronics - I can't seem to find anything decent for less than $150 in a 4 ohm sub. I need something relatively efficient as my sub amp is only 100 watts.

The current sub has a QTS of .25, 91 db/watt and VMax of 13mm.

Would a car sub work well in a vented enclosure? Any recommendations for under $100?

Blueprint Drivers...are they still selling things? They offer some stuff right below or at the US$100 price point... Car subwoofers... would depend on the driver itself..some work well others work terribly. Supply the stats on the driver in question and I'm sure you'll get some help.
