Blake 7 dvd news (1 Viewer)

The info i have is that the Region 1 B7 DVDs will be released on the 7th of January, 2003.
BFS in North America will release the complete series as a box set, which will be light on extras, and probably won't be restored.
The Region 2, which will be released by Fabulous Films, will have plenty of extras, and will be released more slowly, the first release being "anticipated" by the end of 2002.

Any change in the reports that BFS was going to try to cram 5-6 episodes on each disk? Compression issues may arise with only 4 episodes at 50 minutes in length. I don't want to imagine the artifacting if they tried to push things further.

I can't believe this series is coming to dvd at all anywhere. Looks like it's time for a multi-region, PAL/NTSC player for this kid.

I hope BFS can get access to those extras, but the R1 disks still haven't been relisted by BFS Entertainment as far as I can tell (nothing in Future Releases section on http://www.bfsent.com ). For those who missed the other threads, the R1 DVD set has been pulled off the schedule for re-evaluation.

We've also been asked about whether the 'Making of Blake's 7' documentary and other BBC Worldwide special features will be available in a Region 1 format. At this time, our understanding is that all extra value content is being produced with the international
market in mind, however the final elements still need to be cleared for international copyright which can only be done towards the end of production when exact content is known.
the date for r2 is march 31, 2003 with no date set for r1 at this time
