How was the colored look in BHD accomplished?
It seems like it was filmed with a yellow filter. The colors are engrossing and really add to the style of the grittiness of the film.

I'm no expert, but I believe you pretty much answered your question. Scott has always been a big fan of filters, as evidenced by BHD and Gladiator. I think it gives his films a unique, gritty feel that I like, but some people think it's just a cheap flash technique.
