I was going to try shopping for a Nintendo Switch OLED for my 14-yo (obviously not expecting any meaningful discounts despite BF/Cyber week), but seems they're sold out everywhere (unless one is willing to pay scalper prices I guess)...

Guess I'll try checking again later in December (or maybe Jan if need be... and just give my 14-yo an IOU ). Hopefully, Best Buy will get them back in stock before too long so I can also use the stash of BB GCs I got from buying Apple GCs from them...

The only thing we spent money on for Cyber Monday is booking our two annual visits to Mackinac Island. The hotel we stay at -- the Island House -- always has specials on this day. On two three-night stays we saved about $900 total over their regular rate, plus another $60 in savings taking advantage of the Starline Ferry's buy one, get one ticket sale.

Niiice! Wish I could be planning something like that, but alas...

I did also just buy couple pairs of CyberMonday 1/2-priced tix to the Met Opera's holiday presentations of Mozart's Magic Flute and Massenet's Cinderella for the week between Christmas and New Year's. Will probably bring my 14-yo to see them.
