Bitstream or PCM

I have the Tosh HD A1 connected to my B&K AVR 307 via Toslink. Should the output be set to PCM or Bitstream. The problem I am having is that my B&K seems to think it is receiving a DTS stream (this is what it is indicating on its front panel). This was happening last night as I was watching MI III in HD DVD set to the English DD 5.1 track. It sounds ok but why would the B&K think it is a DTS stream?

thanks

I believe the Toshiba's internal decoding of audio tracks uses DTS output when using the Toslink connection, therefore your equipment is working as intended.
