After twelve years my 52" RCA quit working.
Never had a problem with it guess we've been lucky.
Couple months ago a friend who bought the same model
same time as me told me his quit working so he bought a new one. Then mine quits that's kinda funny.
He told me 10-12 years is how long they last, true or false.
Have been thinking of buying a new maybe bigger one anyway
so I guess now I will.
Any reccomendations, NOT Sony, very bad luck with Sony products.
    Thanks

    Greetings

How long they last is entirely dependant on how you treat it and use it. You can drive it into the ground with 4 years of use if you want ... or baby it for 10 to 15 years of use.

Panasonic or Toshiba or Hitachi or Mits are all fine brandnames to choose from and you cannot really go wrong with any of those.

    Regards
