Visited a different store tonight and saw the Alien Anthology for $5. The first four Alien films on blu-ray.
Incredible price for all four Alien films on Blu. I remember getting a Blu set of all four films (with some special features) from a retail store for $20 about 6 years ago - and I thought that was a great deal then.

I saw that too and meant to post it. There were 2 in my store but they are gone. Thought of getting a back up but my set is fine. I'll get the 4K set there someday for $3 I'm sure. lol

My store had a few things clearance, including $2.50 for Amaz Spider-man 2 3D. grabbed that for backup.

I have basically stopped going to Big Lots! for blu-rays and DVDS especially when last Friday I bought 46 discs/(items) at Dollar Tree for $1 a piece - was going to post here but they seem to go fast - this time it was mostly RHJ items with a few universal (eg Holiday Inn) Fox (Ramona and Beezus blu with mention of MoviesAnywhere on the back) & Sony titles ... About a month and a half ago I went to Big Lots! I did pick up the Planet of The Apes (Original Recipe) blu-ray set that used to sell for $19.99 elsewhere for $5 ...They has several copies of Kung Fu Panda 1 in 3D on blu-ray for $5.00 and Kung Fu Panda 3 (2D) for $5.00 ...

Yes, I started noticing more Blu & DVD's at Dollar Tree in the past couple of months. However, they're typically titles I have little interest in. Though BL is more expensive, I find they have a better selection - at least of what I'm looking for.

Didn't see the sets at my store (though I don't need them), but still picked up a couple other titles and got my free root beer. :emoji_beer:

I was recently in BL & did get the Fast & the Furious Ultimate Ride Collection 7-disk (and one bonus) Blu set for $10. The price is a steal for what you're getting, i.e. each film on Blu for less than $2 each. I've only seen the first three (on regular DVD), so looking forward to seeing all of these in order, in high-def.

However, the packaging in this set isn't that great. It's too bulky, and the "gimmick" of the light up dashboard (on the cover) is completely unnecessary. I strongly prefer boxed sets that take up a lot less room. And, the paper inserts that the disks come in probably tend to scratch the disks more. That being said - I have seen much worse packaging for DVD or Blu sets/individual disks - i.e., those hard plastic tabs which in many cases broke - or, if they stayed intact, made it nearly impossible to get the disks out of without damaging the disks. These also tended to cause "hairline" cracks off the holes in the middle of the disks - due to the pressure of being inserted in the tabs. So, I strongly prefer the paper inserts to that other awful packaging.

And, once you take the book out of the bulky box, it looks much more compact & does display well.

My store also had the Star Trek Compendium, a 4-disc set of the recent films on blu-ray for only $5. Great deal for anyone that doesn't have the blus. I also saw ST: Into Darkness 3D.

The Blacklist Season 2 on blu-ray. Why do they always have later seasons, but never Season 1? Also had S2 of PBS' Mercy Street on DVD, but no Season 1.

Still had a bunch of the Marilyn Monroe blu-rays.
