Big compromise to get Panny RP-91? Also, equalizer options for 25-31PC? (1 Viewer)

Whaddya think? Get the RP-91 and then fork out another wad of dough when the bass management issues for DVD-Audio are resolved? Or should I wait and use my RCA 5200p for now?

I have a progressive scan HD-capable TV (Toshiba 34" direct view widescreen), but it already has a good line doubler and it's not as if I'm running a 60" projection TV or anything. Furthermore, right at the moment I don't have an amp that has 6 inputs for the bass management would not be a huge issue at least for the next few months.
I've been told that the Toronto price is about CAD$700 (US$460) for the RP91 at the moment.
Also, is the ART 351 31 band equalizer still the best bang-for-the-buck at the moment for my SVS 25-31PC?

Eugene,
On the EQ issue, I think the best bang for your buck is the BFD. Its a little less cash then the ART 351 but offers parametric eqing. The ART 351 is a good EQ, there are many post here regarding it. The biggest difference is that the ART 351 is not a parametric EQ.

Check out this EQ: Symetrix 551E
It is the poor mans Rane PE-17. Usually you can find it for around $350 or so.

Thanks for the info, but can someone educate me about the real world disadvantages of a non-parametric equalizer?

If you have a room mode at 57.5 Hz, and your graphic EQ only has bands at 50Hz and 63Hz, for example, how do you attack the 57.5 mode. Either of the alternatives will boost or drop a whole bunch of other frequencies apart from the one you're after.
That's one of the reasons a parametric EQ that can hit any frequency, with adjustable width and gain levels is so handy.
