Are there any other fans of Big Brother that are hoping to see the TV series released on a season by season basis? I love watching this show and of the reality shows out there, this one is the best. Anyone else's thoughts on BIG BROTHER being made available one day on DVD?

It's funny that you bring this up now because back when BB10 started airing, I started looking for, after years of swearing to myself I never would buy BB on DVD, the BB3 DVD set--but the Amazon price was outrageous, and even eBay auctions went for a pretty sizable amount. (And from what I read about the cases, online ordering would be a bit risky anyway.) No B&Ms carried it, and all indications were that it would cost a lot from them too. But as luck would have it, in August I found a used copy for $20 at Fye. I've barely started it but it is cool to look back and remember how big a crush I had on Lisa and how annoying Josh was.

I could never agree that it's the best reality show, and I might do the unthinkable and only purchase select seasons--I have no desire to see BB4 or 9 again--but Amazon.com's burn-on-demand feature is made for shows like this. I really can't believe they haven't explored this, Survivor, Amazing Race, Apprentice, etc. for burn-on-demand.

I would definitely buy every season of Big Brother if they were available. I would also love the reality show Paradise Hotel on DVD. I doubt they'll ever be released though...

I'd only buy the first season in retrospect. I still think that out of all the reality shows, that was the purest one with minimal interference from the producers. I think it's one of the least popular ones for that reason, since everyone pretty much got along and just hung out instead of having the "who can be the biggest asshole" contest. That first season really ruined the whole genre for me since every reality show following it seemed to be overly manipulated in favor of getting the people to slug it out.

Of course, the final nail in the reality show coffin for me was "THE JOE SCHMO SHOW SEASON 1", which was the perfect satire/deconstruction of the genre. :P

I think for BB, there may be too many episodes per season to make a viable release?? How many times per week does it air?
