In my speaker manual it states to bi-wire by running two wires from the negative of the reciever(Front left negative) to both negatives on the back of the speaker. Then the same for the positive(Front left positive). Is this correct?

Yes. Basically you're running two pairs of speaker wires to each speaker from the same amp, one for the woofer terminals and one for the tweeter terminals.
