I am considering bi-amping my NHT 2.5i's and have a question about the input source to the second amp.
LFE source: If I split the LFE output to another amp and run that to the woofers, removing the jumper straps. This configuration would work very well for movies but what if I want to listen to music. While in two channel mode without subwoofer output. If I'm correct I will get no bass to the subwoofers. The subwoofers will effectively be inactive because the jumpers are removed. Am I correct or is there something I'm missing?

You don't want to send LFE to your mains. The LFE will be unchanged going to the sub. For biamping you need to go from the preamp channel out to a crossover, which will split the line signal to low and high freq's just like in your speaker. Then from this crossover you'll feed two (preferably identical) amps, then go to your speakers from there. The LFE output is irrelevant.
