I saw this Bollywood movie today (thanks A-List!) and *strongly* recommend it.

The 2 hours and 35 minutes go by quickly because the story, characters, and action are strong. It even provoked me to buy a book on the 1947 India/Pakistan partition, to learn more about it.

You get all the usual Bollywood stuff - pretty people and clothes and dancing - but also a strong historical story line interwoven with a touching family story line.

    B+
