Better Picture, Direct View or RPTV??

    Which has a better picture when calibrated using AVIA.......most people say direct view have better clearer picture but cant a RPTV produce a very clear picture too?

    Well, it all depends on how you define "better." Direct view sets generally have a brighter, crisp picture with a better viewing angle. An RPTV can probably produce a clearer image, but without the brightness of a direct view, and limited viewing angles can be a problem.

    If you do a search, you will probably come up with plenty of threads to read. The bottom line is that it comes down to personal preference.

    Also depends on the source. A direct view will do better with standard definition television, but a widescreen RPTV will do better with dvd.
