I have a soundynamics passive sub. Currently I have it connected to older pioneer amp which is connected to the sub out of panasonic sa-he9. I was just wondering if I might get better results all around if I connected it directly to the speaker outputs of the receiver and then
connected my psb alphas to the sub? I guess I am wondering about distributing the lfe better?

Sam,

You currently have it hooked up how I would suggest. The LFE can only be sent out through the Sub output so using speaker wire connections will throw out the LFE all together. Besides, if it is truly a passive sub, which it does sound like, wiring it and your main speakers to the Panny receiver would be a bad thing as you would be putting too much of a load on your amp.
