I've pumped up my budget to roughly 2200$, and I am still undecided.
I want a hd ready set, bigger than 43 inches. I've looked at Toshibas, and they seem to be getting good reviews. Should I be looking at Hitachi also? I heard they were the most reliable rptvs. Panasonic?
Decent sound would be a plus, as I am blowing my entire budget on the tv. So its gotta be bearable for a year or so.
Viewing distance will be 10-11 feet. Light control is limited.
One big ? is to get 16:9 or not. 4:3 screens really look bigger to me, and 16:9 is still a limited format. I also read about the anamorphic squeeze, which gives you all the information on a 4:3 screen. Having never seen it in action, I'm a bit worried everyone will look like the lost 30 pounds...
Any and all comments on these choices would be greatly appreciated.
