What are the best speakers I could get for 1200.00 or less. I want the speakers to be small so I can hide them in the corners. Also, anyone tried or heard the Yamaha ysp 800..Maybe that would be a possibility if the surround sound is somewhat similiar.

A few questions to get you started..

- what are the dimensions of the room?
- will these speakers be primarily for movies or for music?
- what model receiver are you using?
- does this budget include a subwoofer?
- does this budget include cabling?

I've auditionned the YSP-800 but wasn't too impressed.. You may want to audition the YSP-1000 (or newer YSP-1100), though this would likely exceed your budget. Keep in mind that you would still need to budget for a subwoofer with either sound projector. Also, you require a room with 3 walls like so |_| in order to use sound projection. I personally prefer a full 5.1 speaker package, but that's a matter of personal taste.

I'd probably pick up an SVS package. $1200 would get you the SBS-01 5.1 package with the upgrade to the PB-12 (though with shipping would be over budget). That should handle most rooms, but if you have a large room, you may need to upgrade the sub even further.
