Any suggestions? Want to keep it under $300, but could stretch it to $400 if it's really worth it. Thanks.

If you search the forum, using "sub under", searching in the "subject only", you'll see 3-4 similar threads. This might give you some info since this seems to be asked quite a bit.

You may want to consider the cheaper Paradigm subs or the Def Tech subs They are both very good. I actually have a Def Tech 12" Prosub200 and I am looking to upgrade to an SVS soon if you are interested. It's a $500 sub but we can work out a special deal if you are interested.

For $400 you really should consider the Adire Audio Rava sub. It has gotten excellent word of mouth praise. Check out www.adireaudio.com for information and ordering.
    Hope this helps.

'nuff said. (as long as you have an old receiver or something to power it with...)

Thanks guys. After searching around the web for a couple hours I think for me it's pretty much a choice between the JBL PB12 ($290 shipped) and Klipsch KSW12 ($330 shipped). This sub is being hooked up to my computer sound system, so I doubt the quality of the ones you guys are suggesting would shine through. One of the posts that Aaron linked to suggested the PB12 over the KSW12. Would you guys agree?

Sound Dynamics RTS 1200. One Call is selling them right now for $297.00. Canadian sub made by API, same guys who make Energy and Mirage. They make these completely "in house" from the driver, to the cabinet, to the 150 watt mosfet amp. These subs originally sold for $650.00. I briefly had the smaller RTS 1000 and it was very good. I really don't think you'll find a nicer 12" sub under 3 bills.
