recently i have seen rca type inputs on receivers for speakers, are those better than the wire coil pinch thing? What is the best speaker output?

RCA Type speaker inputs on recievers???

I still prefer binding posts with banana clips myself for speaker connections.

I think you are confusing analog preamp inputs/outputs with speaker connections. These are not the same thing and if you hook a speaker to a preamp output (which would require you to come up with some kind of adapter setup), you will get no sound unless the speakers are self powered. These are intended to be output to an external amplifier.

The little "pinch" thing for wire is typically only going to be seen on low end gear.

    Moved to Basics area.

BTW, I dont like the spring loaded connections and instead perfer the connections that accept banana plugs or spade connectors.
