    Greetings,
I'm considering purchasing a region free DVD player because I'm aware of the significant amount of material available in non-region 1 areas.
One thing I'm worried about is the cost of these non-region 1 DVD's, and the cost to ship them to me in Ohio. What are some of the top DVD sites with the best prices?
    Best,

...for DVDs from Italy (where you find the occasional Italian movie with English dub and/or sub - e.g. The Legend Of The Pianist On The Ocean by Giuseppe Tornatore, who directed "Cinema Paradiso") take a look here:

...interested in movies from Germany? Take a look here:

-> -> -> Caveat: in many - if not most - cases German DVDs will have only a German dub, or else 'locked' subs will appear when the original soundtrack is selected!
One German film I know of has an English dub: Anatomie, a horror flick starring Franka Potente)

"Anatomie" is meanwhile available in R1 as - you guessed it - "Anatomy" [IMG]. The Digital Bits even gave it a spin; though I don't disagree with what they are saying, I still like it. Must be because I'm German, too... [IMG]
