...except that I've heard it, quite a few times. What's the best song that I have never heard?

another one well worth checking out from Billy Connolly is Irish Heartbeat. It's a cover of Van Morrison but it is in my opinion a much better version.

Ok the best song no one heard is Your Attention Please by theScars, an early 80's gem.

The Viva Happiness! punk-pop cover version of the Roy Orbison classic 'Oh, Pretty Woman'. Since its actually my brother's old band, its fairly safe to say HTF readers won't have heard it...

We buy fresh bagels from the corner store
Where swastikas are spat from aerosols
I sit in the bar sipping iced White Russian
Trying to score but nobody's pushing
And everyone looks at everyone's faces
Searching for signs and praying for traces of a conscience in residence
Are we sitting on a barbed wire fence
Racing the clouds home, racing the clouds home
Clutching at Straws is the only Marillion album I still listen to.

My own acoustic cover of "Dear Prudence". I only perform it in my bathroom (great acoustics) and, even then, only for special occasions. The haunting squeak of my well-rusted Martin Marquis lights echoing off the mildewed tile is quite moving. If I do say so myself, my voice was just made for that particular venue.

Jason:
Good call on "Spock's Beard"
I'd also nominate Neal Morse's "A Whole Nother Trip"
Jack:
Be careful, you may start a Tilex vs. Lysol debate for which gives better acoustics and tonal depth. :)
