I hope someone has mentioned this show already (I don't have time to read the entire three pages) but I have always felt that one of the best shows in recent memory that was given an unfair premature ax was Dennis Leary's The Job. Absolutely biting knife edge honest comedy about the highs & lows of being a detective...bizarrely surreal at times as well but always funny as hell. It's cancellation was the last straw on an already weak camels back, I stopped watching ABC afterwards and I have never looked back.
