As an example if you plan to watch a lot of SD material, you will want a set with a good line doubler, and stretch modes like a Pioneer 533. If you only plan on watching DVD's and HD, a Mitsubishi would be a good choice. Also, is DVI important to you? Something that entered in the equation a little when I was deciding, was the cabinet. I wanted one that could support a relativley heavy center channel.
Alot depends on your veiwing distance also.Are we looking at a 45" set or a 65"set? Some brands make better smaller rptv's then others,some make better larger sets.Best value for the money,I might recommend the tosh 65h82. Good luck and happy shopping.
