Onecall seems to be out of stock. Do any other online retailers have this dvd player since no one in this area carries it?

    Thanks,
    Andy

Crutchfield had it a few days ago (even though not listed on their website): 888-955-6000

I like Crutchfield, but I was hoping to get it a little cheaper than list price.

I believe J&R has it for $210 or so, if you call them and say someone else you know got it for that price. Might want to look at the Toshiba 4800 as well, comparable features and price.. After waiting months for the RP-82, I ended up buying the 4800 last night, go figure.

I have no interest in the Toshiba player at this time until I can hear definitive answers regarding the chroma bug, de-interlacing, and combing. It seems the early buzz is positive on the new Toshibas 3800/4800, but I was not impressed with their last set of players and from the specs I cannot see any major differences.

I know what the Panasonic RP-82 offers from their previous players RP-56 and RP-62. I have been very impressed with everything Panasonic has done.

I ordered mine from J and R, got to jandr.com for the 800 number. I told them about a friend buying it for $210 and got that price. Been about a week and a half, have not gotten it yet.

I ordered the RP-82 from OneCall on Sunday night and it was shipped out Monday morning. I should have it tomorrow. They have 10% off of all their DVD players right now. With shipping, I paid a grand total of $220.

Im not sure if DVD manufacturers should include features (-resizing or scaling like the RP-91) on a go forward basis. They should have included this feature on their television sets back in 1999 and 2000 (or at least offer a firmware fix). I believe the majority of newer sets (2001 and forward do not lock into full).

People should be complaining to the tv manufacturers for not offering a fix for this problem.

Out of stock? Does it mean it is selling well? I am relieved that I was able to get a 10% off on the RP82 at OneCall and bought it before it went out of stock.
