My wife has discovered allrecipes.com and my waist is showing it! Users are able to rate the recipes based on a number of factors. The highest rating is 5 stars. EVERYTHING she has made that was rated 5 stars has been amazingly delicious. Many of them very simple.

She made this pie on Sunday and it was awesome. It's like a combination of peach cobbler and cheesecake. MMMmmmmmmmm!

PEACHES AND CREAM PIE

This is definitely a good pie. I found it on allrecipes.com as well and have made it a number of times. I've used it for several 'pot luck' type gatherings and it has always gone over well.

Allrecipies rocks!
I discovered the site a few weeks ago and I've tried several different 4-5 star recipies. All except one was to my families liking and we can be fairly picky eaters.
As Roger said, alot of the recipies are quick, easy and very tasty. :emoji_thumbsup:

Thi, it isn't hard to make a pie, although I sometimes have trouble keeping the crust all in one piece if making it from scratch.

Okay, I will make my first pie this weekend then! I think this pie might taste better with more fruit added: strawberries, kiwi, grapes, cherries and pears.

I have one question about the recipe (I'm not much of a cook): What does it mean by "softened?" Do I just leave the butter or cheese outside for a while?

Oh my!! I just finished making it and i think its a little too rich for me. Wow its sweet.

I think if i make it with a bit less sugar and stuff it might be just right.

Mark,
When you're making crust by hand, use lots of flour to coat everything that the crust is going to come in contact with (except for the pie plate). Whenever you handle the crust, make sure you use lots of ice cold water. I keep my hands as wet as I can, and if I'm using a knife, I keep it as wet as I can too. Makes handling the crust a LOT easier.
Also, I'm sure you know to use tin foil around the edges of the crust to keep it from burning. Over the weekend I also tried brushing the top of the pie with milk. I used about 5 tablespoons ontop of a 9" pie. Gave it a golden brown color, and kept the crust from getting too dry.
I like making pies :)
