Hello all, I just wanted to find out in everyone's opinion what has been the best picture quality from an hdtv show you've seen? I must admit The Miss Hawaiian contest on HDnet as well as Florida the Sunshine State documentary on HDnet was breathtaking. anyone else?

Those are both very good, as is almost anything on HDNet that's been filmed in HD. Some of the "travelogues" are very good as well (one on Ireland was exceptional). Truly like looking through a window. :emoji_thumbsup:

Just about anything on HDnet that was filmed with HDcams is fantastic (although DirecTV's been fiddling with the bitrate recently, but seems to have the channel back at 19.3Mbps).

As far as 35mm film transfers go (like what's on HBO-HD or SHO-HD), Spiderman has really good PQ. AI, too. Those are just off the top of my head. Most recent transfers are all in the same league, varying by a matter of degrees.

The biggest "Blow you away" factor I've probably experienced is a toss up between Shrek and Final Fantasy. AOTC will probably set the bar when it premiers next month, since it was shot with HDcams.
