This thread was inspired by another thread about people leaving during the end credits. I got to thinking that there are lots of movies that I find have the coolest opening credits!

Off the top of my head, some of my favorite opening credits are:

    Seven

    Fight Club

    Anyone else?

    Vertigo

    North by Northwest

    Charade

    My Man Godfrey

I can't think of any more right now.

Many Bonds, especially Goldfinger and The Spy Who Loved Me.
    Touch of Evil
    The Player
    The Shining
    The Untouchables
    Dr. Strangelove
    The Naked Gun
    The Monty Python films
Not really credits, but the opening scrolls of Star Wars films are certainly iconic and memorable.

    - I'm amazed they have "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails. Adds a nice touch.
    Pulp Fiction
    - "Miserlou(sp?)" was a great way to start.

To Kill A Mockingbird- inspired the opening credits of Almost Famous
The Big Lebowski- Bob Dylan's The Man in Me delivers the perfect mood.

    I know, Patrick. Shoulda specified.
(Will it hurt my credibilty any if I say that, intended or not, I prefer the opening the way it was before the restored cut? [IMG])

Although they were both lousy films, Mimic and The Jackal both had good opening credits, in a similar style to Se7en.
