I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times, but the search function is down... Where's the best place to buy DVDs online? Thanks!

    Scott,
I also highly recommend the aforementioned http://www.dvdpricesearch.com -- this website tracks the prices of individual DVD titles over numerous online stores, and pops up a list with the prices (lowest to highest).
On the other hand, if you're looking for a single store that offers the overall lowest prices on the net, then the winner hands down is http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com . I have ordered from them numerous times in the past, and would not hesitate to order from them again. Aside from generally having the lowest prices, their prices also include free shipping!!! Also, they have the overall best prices anywhere on Anchor Bay and A&E titles -- Anchor Bay titles are usually $10 off retail, and A&E titles are always 50% or more off retail (for example, all those two-disc A&E box sets are a measly $19.19).
On the other hand, for the most popular titles, it's usually best to check with your local brick & mortar store on a title's release date. Place like Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry's Electronics, etc. have price wars (i.e. loss leaders) on these titles, and usually offer better or equal prices to those you can find online. (But this is only for the first week after release -- then these stores usually hike up the prices and it's cheaper to buy online.) Check out their ads in your local Sunday paper to see what major titles will be on super sale.
So try out these two websites (and your Sunday paper) -- you'll be pleasantly surprised, and you'll wind up saving a ton of money.
    Happy hunting!
    Jeff
