Performance: Robert Downey Jr. (Less Than Zero)
I thought he he made the movie...to me a great performance. Its a shame because I think he could have been an Academy Award winning actor.

Edward Scissorhands, my favorite movie of all time. It is one of the best fairytale / fantasy films ever, done by my favorite director, scored by my favorite composer and acted out by my favorite actor and actress.

favorite performance - john goodman in barton fink

i hate saying "best" anything, because it's just another opinion. but here goes.

best movie - either 2001 or dr. strangelove
best actor - although he only did a few movies before his death, john cazale has impressed me in everything he's been in
best performance - either pacino in dog day afternoon or douglas rain as hal 9000 in 2001
