Yes Iron Monkey is Chinese.
Fist of Legend is one of the best MA movies, without wire-work. Yes there is some undercranking, but it has been regarded as one of the best. It is also a remake of Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury.

Chris: There is wire-work in Fist of Legend. Not like Iron Monkey and other obvious stuff like that though.

Even Jackie Chan movies use wire work (usually in a different way, more horizontal work than vertical to the moon work)
