I've never used linux, but I consider myself somewhat of a techie....I had a brief introduction to linux in my sys admin course....not very in depth. I basically want to know what would the best linux distribution be for someone who uses a computer mainly for home theater. All I do on my computer is watch dvd's, listen to music, as well as the standard browsing chatting and downloading which I'm sure is standard in all distros. Any recomendations would be appreciated....if it makes any difference my pc specs are as follows:

    AMD Athlon 64 2800+
    1 GB RAM
ASUS MB with optical out to my receiver
ATI Radeon 9600 SE (using dvi hdmi to the tv)

If you're thinking about running MythTV, they have distro recommendations...
