BEST in headphones and accessories for $500-$800 (1 Viewer)

I am in the market for headphones and possibly a headphone amp. My budget is $500-$800 for everything (including shipping if I buy online). What are some of your favorites in that price range?

I use the Sennheiser HDD-600 with a Grado RA-1 (model with the power supply) with great results.

I did upgrade the original cable to some custom made Cardas for the HDD600.

The RA-1 is really transparent and doesn't give any coloration to the sound.

that looks very very nice. I have a headphone input on my HK stereo reciever. I take it that won't amplify it as well as that grado will? I am looking at the Sennheiser HD650's, and know they they neew some kind of amplifier.
