I think this is the right place to ask . . . I'm looking to buy a pair of earbuds for my portable mp3 player to replace the stock set. What are the best buys for the money? I'm looking to spend under $50 if possible, but might go up to as much as $100.

The above link is for ear-bud type 'phones. I have never heard these myself, but others have said they are very nice.

The Etymotic ER-6 might be found for $100. If not, the Shure E2C buds would be a good option. Both of these phones will work with portable players.
