A lot of good ones have been mentioned that I won't rehash, but a great recent horror film was THE EYE. I've watched it 5 times now and even though I know what's going to happen, I still get that chill-up-the-spine jolt every time one of the ghosts appear. The sound mix on this disc is perfect! Definitely a movie to be listened to in surround sound!

Shockwaves from 1977 with John Carradine and Peter Cushing is pretty creepy and I dont know how many have seen this one. The 1932 version of Dr. Jeckyl Mr Hyde on dvd now is an extremely well made movie with great acting. The best hyde movie I think. A total no brainer, buy it.

Pretty nice list, Scott.

Army of Darkness didn't make the cut on the list? I'd probably classify it as a kiddie horror(even though it is rated-R, it's really a PG movie) or Funnier side.

I think I'm gonna rent a few off Scott's list tonite.

It reached its season end. There was a logical conclusion, but with plenty still unexplained and plenty of things in the background that were not resolved. With luck there will be another season.

The one I watch the most on DVD is "Quatermass and the Pit" AKA '5 Million Years to Earth" American title. Filmed widescreen 1.66:1 I first saw this movie on TV. I never dreamt that would ever see it in widescreen, on a wide screen TV yet! Stars Andrew Keir, James Donald, Barbara Shelley(Medusa) and Julian Glover (For Your Eyes Only)from Hammer Studios in the UK. :)

it would figure, evidently I missed the season finale..lol

I thought the show was quite "different", to say the least.
