I have dry skin and am wondering what you would recommend for a good hand lotion. I've always used Lubriderm but it's kind of greasy. Is there a good lotion/moisturizer suitable for use on the hands & face that soaks in and leaves your skin comfortable without the grease?

I use the regular Aveeno (green and beige bottle). It's not greasy at all and seems to absorb into the skin quickly. The stuff can be on the spendy side (about 8.00 a bottle), but if you are a CostCo member there is a two pack with slightly larger bottles for a decent price.

I use Nivea skin firming lotion. I don't find it greasy at all and it works wonders even here in the dry air of Denver.

Curel absorbs quickly and does a good job moisturizing.

I really like Herbacin Kamille, sounds just like the Aveeno and comes in small pocket size packs.

How about none and force your body's natural oils to come forth?

One hand lotion to use is Neutrogena Norwegian Hand Cream.
It's specifically meant for hands and not greasy. Also, it won't make you seem like a girly man (joke) if you use that one.

Hempz (Supre) makes great cannabis sativa hemp seed based lotions. Hemp seed based lotion last a long time.

Also if you have a Sally's Beauty Supply near you, they also carry a great Hemp Body Butter(forgot the maker), which works very well for super-dry skin, elbows, heels etc.

    Go hemp-seed, trust me.

    I humbly suggest...

Anthony Logistics Glycerin Hand and Body lotion. All of the products in this line are top rate, but pricey. Will give you skin like a newborn baby's bum.

This is the best one, IMHO. My skin is so dry that I have to use this stuff religously (not just on my hands, but all over my body as well). I've tried a zillion different lotions and none of them have the power this stuff has.

I'd like to recommend Eucerin brand hand lotion. I am currently using the Dry Skin Therapy plus Intensive Repair Hand Creme. My knuckles used to develop cracks that would bleed in the winter. I put this on once a day, and my hands feel great. No greasy hands either.

May I suggest Cetephil for those who tend to be allergic to fragrances of any kind. It is a great moisturizer and it isn't greasy or strong scented.

Aveeno is great, I use it often. Anthony Logistics was too greasy for me. I really like Gold Bond unscented in the winter.

I love the smell and feel of Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon lotion. Thanks for the recommendations too.

Wow, tons of recommendations! Thank you! I'll just have to start trying these one at a time, then buy a case of whatever I like best.

My hands and face dry up and the skin can crack open. It's not fun at all.

    Olive Oil

right out of the Kitchen cabinet. Twice a day

It is greasy (but greasy light if you rub it in throughly) so use one of the other mentioned brands above for daytime running around use. I too have the hands that crack and bleed as soon as the weather goes to cold snaps. I'm not having as much trouble this year since am not gardening as prone too in the past during late fall/early winter. (too busy)

The Olive Oil speeds the skin healing process, Using a prepared greaseless hand cream is just to make you feel better and less like dry sandpaper during day. Anything with 100% Shea butter was good for me in combo with the Olive Oil when I really put a hurt on the hands in the yard.

Olive Oil is a good whole body moisturizer also. Used lightly it absorbs very well without feeling extrememly greasy. On my hands I would overdo the olive oil at night, just before bed, because it helped skin repair along. Not opening door knobs at that time of the evening, this was no issue.
