Will the Shiva work as well mounted vertically as it does horizontal? I would prever to mount it facing forward and the port firing down on to a base plate mounted 2-4" below. Should this be a problem? Have abou 92culiters, using PE 250w amp in a 16 x 17 room with vaulted ceilings to about 14' Used mostly for Home theater, but needs to work well with music as well.

    Thanks in advance
    Matt

It shouldn't matter which way the SHiva is mounted, it will work fine. Vertically side-firing, down-firing, up-firing, will all work fine.

That's a pretty big space, you might want to use a Tempest.

Base plate should be spaced at least the diameter of the port away from the port outlet.

All drivers work 'best' with a forward firing orientation. Over time gravity will effect any driver that is downfiring.
