OK, I just got into the whole Home Theater thing, and got a deal on a an Infinity Intermezzo System (3,550 total watts). I've got all of the power amps needed (2 Lexicon LX7 [1 Bridged 400W channels per unit {2 tot channnels per unit}, 5 200W channels per unit]), so I'm good to go other than the processor. I host a lot of party's in my house too, so it will need to be pretty good at just playing CD without any special effects. If it's all possible, I'd like to have one that can control different rooms too. You know, like a set of speakers in the living room be playing the CD, and the foyer speaker set playing a the tuner. It will need to be able to do Dolby Digital surround.

I've got a Pioneer PRO1000-HD 50" Plasma Display with Converter, Pioneer DV-38A DVD, and Pioneer PD-F17 100 Disc CD Changer.

So, what the best processor for what I need?

I'd check out the new models from B&K, and have you looked into getting a Lexicon (used or new) ?
