I'm looking for a good D/A video converter so I can run analog video into my computer for editing and transfer to DVD.
I don't want to break the bank, so I'm looking to stay under $250 or so.

I've used a Canopus unit before, and it worked great, but it's at the top end of units I've looked at. I'd like to get cheaper, but stay about the same performance wise.

The biggest requirement is that I want a firewire connection, not USB.

The best would be a $40 Flyvideo 2000 card. Cleanest S-Video captures available. Only probs for you is that there's no Firewire since it's PCI.

    Scott,

I would put in a card, but I have no PCI slots open.

    Matt,

Do you have a link to that Datavision box?
