I just got a Samsung TS 360 D* HD receiver that I am hooking up to a Mits 65WS315. Any thoughts/experience on what the best connection for this is, component vs. DVI? I thought I had read that some people had iffy experiences with the 315’s DVI input, but don't remember where or when. Any suggestions are appreciated.

i have last year's model (65313). for a while, it was hooked up via dvi to my samsung upconverting dvd player.

when i compared the picture from dvi and component, i definitely saw an improvement with dvi. it was slight, but definitely there -- brighter picture and slightly smoother curves.

in theory, dvi should be better, but your tv is still crt based, so it may not be as nice as if you were using a digital display.

in any case, it's easy enough to purchase a dvi cable from a retail outlet and check for yourself - just make sure you can return the cable without hassles.
