I did a search for Sleepaway Camp and didn't see any record of this news, but it's something I came across while reading the transcript of a chat between Anchor Bay and www.HorrorDVDs.com :
I'm not a big fan of the Sleepaway Camp series, but I figured this news would be of interest to some of you. [IMG]

Any word on this being available in Canada? The Land of No Best Buys?

It's Anchor Bay, and Futureshop is now owned by Best Buy, so both of those facts lead to a "probably" available in Canada [IMG]
That survival kit looks cool, but I've never seen any of these movies.

It would be nice to own the set, especially with the 4th disc. I'm still on the fence on this one as I was really hoping part 3 would be the uncut, unrated version. Unfortunately Anchor Bay couldn't get ahold of that one so it's the normal R-rated cut. Still, if I see it for a decent price....

I'm pretty sure that these are going to be the original cuts. As I understand, Part 3 was never officially released UNCUT.

The DVD does include some footage that was deleted before the theatrical release, if left in the film would have been given an X - rating. The footage isn't in good enough shape to be included in the movie though.

These are going to be the versions we saw on video... not edited.

What was cut out of the film to get an R-Rating?
