Hey guys come January I will be in the market for a widescreen hd ready set. I have no idea about the differencies between makes and models. I will have approximatly $1700 and will be looking for a 43". Uses will include alot of xbox gaming, watching 4:3 digital cable off my tivo, and DVD's. Any suggestions out there?

Take a look at the Hitachi 43UWX20 (should be released in the next two weeks), the new Mitsu 42 inch and the Toshiba 42HX82 inch. The Toshiba is a great value and in your price range.
