Thanks, it was kinda neat having a list of major Aug releases, but then I wasn't sure of the release dates. I wish something like this were a regular feature on the site.

It's interesting how different people's tastes are. I'm buying 8 dvds in August, none of which is on this list.

So far this month I've bought:

Jane Mansfield Collection
James Stewart Collection
Clark Gable Collection (Fox)

Grand Prix 2 Disc (Australian version, for just AUD$13, I'm glad I held off getting the R1!)

And I have pre-ordered an Australian Rank Classic Adventure Films Collection which contains: North West Frontier (1958), Ferry To Hong Kong (1958), King Solomon's Mines (1937). The first two are 2.35:1 widescreen, but non-anamorphic, I'm not expecting the transfers to be very good, but at least they will be widescreen.

Also, I'll probably order Double Indemnity 2 disc

It's a big TV month for me- Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season Five, The Simpsons: Season Eight, Arrested Development: Season Three, and South Park: Season Eight. And in the movie categories, I'll be picking up Apocalypse Now and Double Indemnity.
