Best $700-800 dvd player, sony or denon?

    Thoughts on the best for $700-800? I'm buying one for my brother in law. He's no audiophile or videophile but just in case he becomes one I don't want to look bad after the fact.
    Sony dvp 7700 or Denon 2800 or others?

    Try the Rotel rdv-995.It has a SRP of $999.00 but has a great reviews in most of the magazines i'v seen. [​IMG]

    Shanon, those reviews seem to be very biased. Seem's like anytning with the Genisis chipset they don't like. The RP91 is a really great player, and it can be gotten for way under $700.
    Andy: I would give the RP 91 some serious thought.
