Best 5.1 Receiver under $500 (1 Viewer)

Any opinions. Thinking about ditching 6.1 and just getting a high powered, good quality sounding receiver.

I have the Outlaw and really like it, especially if you want 5.1.

I would look for a used denon 3802,I have seen a few in great shape for maybe about $550 then you get 7.1 or great 2 ch.GOOD LUCK

I would look at Costco they have the HK 325 at a steal of a price 499.00

I have the Yamaha rx-v620 and it has really good sound. It has been replaced by the rx-v630. It runs around $499, but can be found on eBay for around $250 used.

I'll throw in a vote for the H/K AVR-520. I think jandr.com and onecall.com still have it for $500. You'd be hard pressed to beat it for clean 5.1 power at $500.
