I currently own a Panasonic Widescreen HDTV, and we are looking to get an additional set: a 36" direct view that will be used strictly for satelite vieweing. Which set do you think would be best? Keep in mind that things like squeeze modes and other DVD related options aren't neccesary as this is strictly for 4:3 standard def TV viewing.

What do you recommend?

Marc.

I snagged a 36" RCA from CC for about $550 open-boxed...great tv, great price. Might be what you are looking for.

The RCA has a great picture and very reasonable sound. It's also well equipped with plenty of inputs...S-Video, Composites, Components. Hard to beat for around $500. Not to mention you can no-interest finance it for a year...I'm doing that...payments are very low.
