Best 32" progressive scan TV (1 Viewer)

My wife and I are out looking for a good progressive scan set. Yesterday was the first time I've ever seen one in action and my wife was very concerned about the set's ability to upconvert a standard cable signal. Video Only had the 32" Sony HS set and the 36" panasonic. The Panasonic seemed to do a better job upconverting the standard DVD signal they had going to all the sets. Both looked amazing when a progessive DVD signal was put in.
I know other companies make progressive scan sets. Has anyone had a chance to look at the various sets in a side by side comparison? I don't know if I can find a store that will have them all.
Just to make sure my vocabulary is correct, Dot crawl is the effect you see when an interlaced signal is upconverted correct? The Video Only guys explain it as a graininess of the picture.
