Sorry for the long description but I was just wondering what you all thought were some of the best 1:85 (or lower) FILM transfers on dvd. Basically, dvds that will fill a 16:9 tv screen that are non-animated. (I know toy story, TS2, and Shrek will look good on a 16:9 set)
Here are a couple that I have heard (and that i have) are good:
The Big Lebowski
Cast Away

I would say that Sleepy Hollow sports a drop dead gorgeous transfer, as well as Cats and Dogs, just stunning!
Another notable transfer is the new The Terminator mgm release, for it's age, it's incredible!
I also second the transfer on Cast Away, superb!

The Talented Mr. Ripley's transfer looks so close to the original 35mm release prints, I was looking for reel change markers. :)

Here's a list of great 1.78/1.85:1 transfers I've seen:
North By Northwest
Fantasia 2000
Pee-Wee's Big Adventure
Jurassic Park
Cast Away
Shrek
Airplane!
Walking With Dinosaurs
Also, although non-anamorphic, Young Frankenstein is the best 1.85:1 transfer I've seen without 16x9 enhancement.

Legend of Bagger Vance. It was such a good transfer that I considered buying it even though I did not like the film all that much. Sanity prevailed, though it is worth a rental.

All good answers so far. I would like to add Desparado (superbit) to the list...an excellent transfer.
