BenQ has unveiled a new portable, wireless DLP projector designed for outdoor use. Priced at $599 and sharing some commonality of design with the HT3550 and other projectors in BenQ’s new lines, the GS2 is both splash- and drop-resistant, and compatible “with virtually any wireless or wired device.”
“The BenQ GS2 projector removes boundaries to outdoor learning and entertainment by combining several extraordinary features and abilities,” said Steve Yang, director of BenQ America. “With the GS2, families and friends can now experience high-quality entertainment opportunities in the wonders of nature.”

 
The projector uses auto keystone focus, a 15-degree tilt, an onboard Bluetooth speaker, 1080p support and the Aptoide TV app. BenQ says the GS2 is capable of delivering a long-lasting DLP image “with precise colors and razor-sharp clarity” as well as 30,000 hours of LED lamp life...

Strange theyre not touting brightness in the initial specs (for what its worth anyway), critical when going after a market where light control can be challenging. Il be curious to see reviews on this one, nothing cooler than a big screen in your back yard....
